Softball Reunion (2007)
Here’s my first HD video, shot with my Canon HV20. It looks rather poor on YouTube, as shown below, but a better copy of it can be viewed in my podcast. (I’m toying with the idea of starting an AppleTV-based podcast as well, for even better quality.)
The video comes from our Softball Reunion, held each year to commemorate the days when we would all play softball every week. It was requested I upload this, just because of Larry’s and Jacob’s big plays…

Fox Sucks
I actually fought my better instincts, swallowed my bile, and forced myself to get interested in the new “reality TV” series On the Lot. I have to admit it sounded interesting, watching a handful of fledgling filmmakers create, direct, and exhibit short movies. Plus, the lure of a Spielberg pedigree was hard to ignore.
I watched the first few episodes ... and within a week the show turned from an interesting documentary style to a hackneyed American Idol wannabe where the contestants stare blankly on a live stage presenting short films which magically got made between episodes. My loathing did not become fully palpable to me until I saw the following post on Television Without Pity:

And Fox took Drive off after 3 episodes for this crap?
Mind boggling.
I could not concur more.
