This Week in Food (2009-04-06)
It’s MSNBC’s idea of “The 19 worst drive-thru foods in America”.
I always thought the worst drive-thru food meant it was the messiest and would get all over your shirt while driving. But according to MSNBC it’s got to do with calories or something. Go figure.

Newsmaker
Shit, they plagiarized my short story! A Macedonian man kills three women so he can report the murders for his newspaper.
ABC News (US)
Guardian (UK)
(My story on other hand involved an anchorman and TV station.)

The Writers Guild of America, West and East, is on strike to gain their fair share of profits from new media sales. This means only a few weeks of scripted TV shows; and with all this free time, here’s how I’ll be spending it:
United Hollywood
Joss Whedon’s updates
Late Show Writers On Strike
“Writers Strike” on Twitter
Variety‘s Scribe Vibe
Deadline Hollywood Daily
Alliance of Motion Pictures and Television Producers (AMPTP)

Today in Food (2007/01/03)
Happy New Year!
People have been asking me what my resolution is for the new year. My answer? 1080p, baby. 1080p.
As is usual for the start of a new year, I’m planning on losing some weight. One of the drawbacks of running a site about fatness is it’s almost like giving me license to a be a fat ass. I’ve grown to monumental proportions over the last few months and I need to drop some pounds before I do structural damage to my house. Also usual for this time, giving up food means I’m constantly thinking about food, and here a couple food-related links I found today. (Both from Boing Boing.net.)
I was pretty proud of myself, in my youth, that I ate every single meal on the Bangkok Tiger menu. But these guys are planning on eating at every single restaurant in Toronto, in the order in which the establishments are listed in the phone book.
And in case I’m considering making a meal of butter sticks, here’s what 200 calories looks like compared between different foods.

Hateful
Yay. Michigan has 25 hate groups. And I hate them right back, the fuckers.

Ultimate MS Painting
Evidently this was originally published in February. but I only found out about it today through Digg.com. It’s the ultimate MS Paint-ing, an impressive piece of artwork done entirely in MS Paint. The artist also gives a commentary on the accomplishment. And I guess I might as well link to my own MS Paint artwork as well.

Let Them Sing it for You
I saw this mentioned yesterday at Digg.com, but I can’t find the write-up on it anymore. Regardless, it’s a Flash-based site where you can type in text and have it sung back to you. Your lyrics will be performed by professional vocalists and performers—courtesy of hundreds of soundbyte samples. It’s silly, but fun. (There was one small disappointment however. I was unable to pen any songs about cheese.)
The site is Let Them Sing it for You, and here’s a rendition of my own composition.

Super Bowls
Doing my work for me and just in time for Sunday’s Super Bowl pigout, this site, Super Sized Meals.com, lets you keep track of all those insanely huge burgers offered around the world.
