But I’ve got to Mambo!
Well, I received some disheartening news about one of the gadgets I planned to discuss here. A while ago I had ordered a Mambo X MP3-compatible portable CD player, and I just received word it was finally ready to ship. Unfortunately, according to the e-mail I just received, “some features have changed since the original specifications. Track and title names are no longer supported, as are the playlist and search capabilities. A constant bitrate from 64kbps - 160kbps is supported. Variable bitrate at 50% is supported (VBR50).“ So reluctantly I’ve decided to cancel my order and hope for some form of second generation Mambo X.
It’s about time I did something on this [Gadgets] page though. So just for the heck of it, here’s some free software! These are programs I’ve been using for quite a while both at home and at work.
