The Vigil
Fish IV is ailing. Late last week he began exhibiting bizarre symptoms, which I liken to a kind of fish dementia. Without provocation he would suddenly dart about, zipping wildly about in his vase as if possessed. Fish III did the same thing too during his last days, including listing to the side and swimming crooked. Today I noticed Fish IV starting to tilt sideways, so it appears it’s now only a matter of time. Poor guy.
